THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
I have created the ultimate guide for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year! If you haven’t shopped the sale before, it’s a sale that happens once a year that is discounted BRAND NEW fall and winter merchandise for a limited time. Once the sale is over, the prices go back up! If you aren’t sure what all the hype is about this sale, I wanted to create a place where I break it down by category and include my favorite picks. We are chatting denim, cardigans, booties, home, shoes, and more! If you see something you like, you can click that item on the photo or shop it below each paragraph. Let the fun begin…
PS- On each photo, I put a star next to things that I already own and love OR things that I have in my shopping cart personally!
WHEN CAN YOU SHOP?
Nordstrom gives seniority to Nordstrom card holders to shop the sale first. They break it down by how much money you spend in a calendar year. The more money you spend, the earlier you get access to shop! I recommend logging into your Nordstrom account on their site to find out when you can shop. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, don’t worry, the sale opens to the public on August 19!
DENIM PICKS
I am SO excited about the denim this year because I think they knocked it out of the park! They have all my fav denim brands included this year like Topshop, Free People, and Levis. I always look at the sizing info and usually size up in Topshop and Levis! I would just be sure to check the sizing info on whatever you are looking at to make sure you get the right size for you!
I’ve owned the Free People Busted Knee Skinny Jeans (top left) for years now and they are one of my favorite pairs of all time. They are extremely stretchy, comfortable to wear, and go with everything! I was shocked when I saw the black version was included in the sale because I can never find them in stock! If you like these, snag them FAST because I know they’ll sell out. I wear a 28!
TOPS/JACKETS/CARDIGANS
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to stock up on your basics! I LOVE the Free People basics for the fall/winter months. They have the best waffle knit tops and long sleeves that are easy to layer in the colder temps for a great price!
I always buy some sort of cardigan or jacket during this sale and this year is no different. I am obsessed with the Ribbed Open Knit Cardigan that comes in multiple colors! If you don’t own a denim jacket, I highly recommend snagging this Madewell one thats on sale! You’ll never find that quality of jacket at this price after the sale.
SHOE PICKS
Ah, my favorite part about the #nsale every year is the shoes! They have some of their most popular brands included in the sale like Marc Fischer, Nike, Steve Madden, and more. I like that they usually offer one staple style in multiple colors so that you are guaranteed to find one you like!
This year I am snagging the Pointed Toe Booties because I need a taupe color to go with my blue jeans and sweaters in the fall/winter! I was pleasantly surprised with their sneakers this year too! Love the mauve Nikes for running and the jewel toned Air Max’s to wear with leggings or denim.
This is the toughest category to narrow down for me! I love SO many but just focusing on what my closet is missing. We are all ballin’ on a budget, right? :)
ACTIVEWEAR/LOUNGE
With quarantining the last few months, revamping my loungewear and activewear has been a must! Now that I am in loungewear so much these days, it’s super important to throw out my old college t-shirts and get some cute but comfy pieces.
For loungewear, I’ll be snagging a new pair of joggers ! I am newly obsessed with the Natori bras (I have two) and they are SO soft and comfy! I LOVE THEM. I wear a 34D for reference.
For activewear, you can’t go wrong with their Zella brand! It’s basically a more affordable version of Lululemon. If you get one thing from this sale, their Live In Leggings are a must! I have them in black but thinking about getting this pink color. Also loving this long line bra!
BEAUTY PICKS
I think the biggest surprise this year is the beauty selection! If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I LOVE Kiehl’s. They are one of my all time favorite skincare brands and I was so excited to see that TWO of my favorite products of theirs are on sale and in “jumbo” versions! Their Ultra Facial Cleanser and Midnight Recovery Oil are two of my all time favorite skincare products!
I recently started using Tula and I am loving them so far! They have a great skincare kit in the sale so If you’e been thinking of trying them out, this is the perfect time.
My favorite moisturizer is included in the sale (yay!) in the First Aid Beauty kit that’s all about hydration! Great starter set for someone who is new to skincare or someone who wants to try a whole routine from start to finish!
ACCESSORIES/HOME
I am not someone who usually buys home items from Nordstrom but last winter, I got a blanket and I am in love. And guess what is included in the sale this year… THAT BLANKET! You bet I am snagging another one because it comes in 9 other colors. You’ll thank me later. :) I also love the peach towels and the hair turban for when you are fresh out the shower!
For accessories, there wasn’t a lot to choose from in my opinion but I loved this star and lightening bolt earring set along with the Madewell layered necklace!
