SUMMER SWIMSUIT ROUNDUP
As we are gearing up for Memorial Day weekend and the gorgeous weather ahead, I know I’m going to be soaking up the sunshine every minute I can! I went through my swimsuit drawer and realized it needed a brief refresh. Some suits were just old, dingy, and needed to be thrown out! I’ve been shopping around and looking for suits that had great coverage, flattering fits, and affordable price tags and I have found a lot of great options! Whether it’s lounging at the pool, gearing up for a getaway (eventually), or just taking calls outside, I have you covered! Today I am sharing my summer swimsuit round up of everything that I own (and love), have my eye on, and in my shopping cart.
FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP FOR SWIM
When it comes to swimsuits, I have a couple places that are always at the top of my list! My go to is American Eagle because they always have multiple styles to choose from based on your body type and what you’re looking for. Everything from bikinis to high waisted suits to one pieces and more. They are very size inclusive so they usually start at XXS and go through 2X! I absolutely love the quality of their suits and the fact that they always have sales on their swimwear. If you think American Eagle is just for high school and college girls, think again! Most of my suits come from AE and have the best coverage. I also love to shop at Target, ASOS, Marshalls/TJ Maxx, and sometimes Amazon.
TIPS FOR SHOPPING SWIM
My biggest tip when shopping for swimwear is reading reviews! Swimsuits can be made with different material depending on the retailer so it is so important to look at reviews. I always look for the reviews with photos so I can get a good ida of not only fit but color! Another tip I always remind myself of is don’t let the size discourage you. Like I said above, swimsuits can be made with different material which plays a role in the fit! If someone recommends sizing up, don’t get discouraged. I’d rather feel comfortable and confident in a suit that fits me and is flattering vs. the opposite for the sake of ordering the smaller size.
