Hey babes, happy February! That sounds so crazy to say…I feel like January flew by but maybe that’s just me? February is such an exciting month so I couldn’t wait for it to be here. I get to celebrate the two greatest guys in my life, my dad and my boyfriend, so you know it’s going to be a party! Not only is it their birthdays but it’s also Valentine’s Day! I’ve always loved this holiday even long before I ever started dating my boyfriend and I owe it all to my dad. Every year he would get me flowers and chocolates and set them on my dresser on the morning of Valentine’s Day. Talk about setting the bar high!

Aaron and I usually keep things semi casual for Valentine’s Day. No big gifts, no super fancy dinners… we just like going to one of our favorite restaurants and hurrying home to watch Dateline NBC. I know I know we sound like we’re 50 years old but I wouldn’t have it any other way. :)

Even though we don’t go anywhere super fancy I still want to wear something that makes me feel like it’s Valentine’s Day! This look I found at Urban Outfitters is inspired by just that! I learned that you can add little romantic touches without looking like you’re going to a ball. This dramatic little dolman sleeve red top is perfect for layering over your favorite bralette and it comes in 3 colors. I’m wearing a size small. It’s so soft, flirty, and fun!

I paired this balloon sleeve top with the cutest ruffle hem velvet wrap skirt. This adds a little bit more of a dramatic flare to the outfit but hey it’s Valentine’s Day! Even though it’s tight, the material is so incredibly soft, stretchy, and comfortable you can eat anything you want and not have to worry about having a #foodbaby. Since it’s a wrap skirt it comes up a little bit higher in the front so it’s basically doing us short gals a favor and making our legs look longer. Amen to that! I also can’t wait to wear this with a t shirt and a cool pair of tennis shoes on just a regular day. Not to mention its less than $20 bucks! If you’re going somewhere a little bit more dressy I would ditch the black booties and I would wear a black heel instead. I’ve linked a few of my favorites herehere, and here!

I hope everyone has an amazing Valentine’s Day week! Whether you’re headed out for a hot date or a wine night with your girlfriends, this outfit will get you in the spirit and make you feel like the hot momma that you are.
