OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR THE WEEK
This b-e-a-uuuutiful hotel is brand spankin’ new and just opened this fall of 2018! We actually booked it only seeing the renderings (little scary not going to lie) and it was even more amazing in person. It’s located right in the heart of Hollywood Beach so we could walk to all the restaurants, shops, boardwalk, etc. We only had to take a 5 minute Uber one time to get groceries and that’s it! Not to mention it was only a 15 minute drive from the Fort Lauderdale airport and a quick 2 hour and 10 minute flight from Indy, so we we’re on the beach in no time.
We stepped into the lobby made of shiny marble floors and were immediately greeted by the friendliest staff (shout out to my man Jeramaine who hooked us up with a 2B/2B suite)! We headed up to our room and Aaron and I thought we were in the wrong one because it was SO NICE. It felt like we were in an apartment with the modern kitchen/dining area along with the most gorgeous wood floors. And don’t get me started on the bathrooms… the lighting was amazing and there was plenty of space for all my beauty products. Afterall, the room slept 7 people and it was just Aaron and I! So we both got our own bathroom and eliminated the arguing on who is taking longer in the shower (haha). My favorite part about our room was the view because it overlooked the bay side and we watched the sunset every single night! It was magical.
My favorite part about the hotel was definitely the rooftop pool! It had amazing views of the bay, the beach, and the Miami skyline in the distance! There were plenty of chairs to layout in without (feeling like you’re on top of your neighbor) either overlooking the beach or the large pool. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, my favorite being the strawberry mojito! They also had the BEST happy hour on the weekdays with food and drink deals so we basically LIVED there every evening. :)
Overall, I had an AMAZING experience at the Costa Hollywood Beach Resort and will definitely go back again soon! If you’re looking for a week long vacay or even a weekend getaway, this place is your BEST bet in South Florida!
WHERE TO EAT | MY TOP PICKS
Oh man… I ate SO much good food down there it is hard to narrow down some of my top favorites! Like I said, everything is within walking distance so any craving you have, it can be satisfied in just a few steps. They had everything from Seafood to American to Mexican to Italian to Peruvian to Armenian and beyond! Some of my top favorites were: The Taco Spot, Latitudes, Sapore Di Mare, 5 O’Clock Somewhere, Haagen Dazs and more!
EXPLORE THE AREA
We absolutely loved to rent bikes and ride down the boardwalk taking in the views and the company! Since we were located in the heart of Hollywood Beach we just walked to the bike rental shop, grabbed a few bikes, and off we went. It was only $15 to rent them for 3 hours so it was really inexpensive and a great way to explore the area! Also a nice little workout if you ask me. :)
