THE ULTIMATE SUMMER BAG UNDER $40

What’s up, friends! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. The weekend is almost here and I am so excited to be outside and enjoy some sunny weather! Before we get to the festivities, I wanted to give you the low down on something that you’ve seen all over my Instagram and I’ve gotten tons of questions on… the little bamboo purse I’ve been carrying!

This bag has been all over social media and I’ve been wondering if it will actually work in my day to day routine so what better way to find out then to try it myself?! I am not one of those girls that will carry those tiny bags that literally fit a lipstick and that’s it so I definitely wanted to put this bamboo bag to the test. I broke this post down into my major concerns when I purchased the bag and how I feel about them now! Let’s get real ya’ll…

Functionality

When I first saw this bag I thought there was no way it could function in my day to day life. I was worried the bamboo wouldn’t be thick enough to hold the items inside my purse and was afraid things would fall out. Surprisingly, they don’t! The bamboo is woven in ways to where it looks like there are little gaps but they’re small enough for things not to fall through! I fit my small wallet, lipstick, sunglasses and keys and there was PLENTY of room for more items to fit comfortably. The ONLY thing I wish it had is a beaded strap that way you had the option to make it a crossbody. Just my opinion!

Price

This is more of a unique bag that you wouldn’t necessarily carry every single day therefore I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg for it. (Home girl needs to be saving some cash!!) All the big bloggers were linking similar bags that were over $80 but I found an exact replica on Amazon for $38 whoop whoop! That way I didn’t spend almost $100 for it to be sitting in my closet or on my shelf for the winter months here in the Midwest! I am carrying the small size but they also have a large size as well.

Quality

Since I went the cheaper route, I was really nervous that the quality wouldn’t hold up as well at the more expensive ones but BOY was I wrong! The bamboo is really sturdy and strong so it holds its shape well and it doesn’t snag on your clothes. The bag is clean, chic and it almost acts as a conversation piece. I constantly get questions about the bag or people will tell me they had similar ones 20 years ago! It’s super neat to connect with total strangers about a purse! Who knew bamboo could be so fun.

So if you have been eyeballing a bag like this, I say go for it girlfriend! It is super functional with great quality and you don’t have to break the bank to buy it!
