PACKING LIST: 10 THINGS TO TAKE ON A BEACH VACATION

Hola amigas - I hope everyone had a great week!! I’m currently on a flight back to the states from a much needed vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. If you’ve never been to Cabo I HIGHLY suggest you go sometime. I had a week filled with BEAUTIFUL weather, amazing food, and so many things to do. I stayed at the Grand Solmar at Lands End which was only a 10 minute walk from downtown and it was easily the most beautiful place I’ve ever been.

If you have any beach vacations coming up you might want to save this post! Packing is stressful and I always seem to forget something so I don’t want that to happen to you. I’ve created a list of 10 things you don’t want to forget on a tropical vacation and show you how I styled them! I’ve included the links to everything I wore and similar items I wish I found sooner :)

1. SHADES

Trust me, forgetting these is the absolute worst feeling!! My boyfriend forgot his and he tried to wear mine all week- bye Felicia. I love these Ray Ban’s so much I bought them in two colors. I’ve linked both below :)

2. LIGHTWEIGHT COVER UP

This is probably my favorite thing I packed on the trip because you can wear it in SO many different ways. I wore it over my swimsuit (pictured above), threw it on over a dress when it got chilly at night, even wore it backwards so the tie was in the back with jean shorts. The fabric is incredibly soft and super lightweight so it’s perfect for those tropical nights. If you’re not digging this color no worries it comes in 3 others!

3. SWIMSUIT

I know this one is a given when going on a beach vacation so I’ve just linked a few of my favorites below. Bikinis, one pieces, bolds, or solids you name it, I packed it.

4. FUNKY PANTS

I like to call them funky pants but basically any printed pant. I love the lightweight fabric and the flow of these cropped flares. You can dress them down like I did for an afternoon or dress them up for a night out on the town. I’m obsessed with them and the price!

5. HEELS

These shoes are my favvvvvvorite to take on beach vacations!! The brown color goes with absolutely anything, the heel is chunky so they are extremely comfortable to walk in, and the lace up/tie detail is so flattering. Not to mention these are Steve Madden dupes for only $27!!

6. SMALL PURSE

Nothing is worse than carrying a big purse across town! Take a small crossbody so you can worry less about your bag and more about which mimosa flavor you want! The pop of gold is perfect for any outfit.

7. FEDORA HAT

For those days when you just had enough of the sun. We had a few super hot days and I was so thankful I brought this. Plus it’s perfect for covering up those crazy hair days… when the wind kicks up you don’t stand a chance.

8. SHIFT DRESS

I think I wore this dress 15 times on my trip but hey no shame. The cut out detail is so fun and it’s super light/breezy to thrown on for dinner or after you went a little too hard on the booze cruise (guilty!) and just need something to wear to dinner. Unfortunately, my exact dress is sold out but I also linked similar ones here and here.

9. COMFY SANDALS

We were close to the heart of Cabo so we walked everywhere and these bad boys were my saving grace. I got these gladiator sandals from Target a couple years ago and they’re my all time favorite. It may be time to let them go soon but I just can’t do it. I’ve linked similar ones below!

10. SPF LIPSTICK

As you guys know, I love love love lipstick so of course I brought this along with me! It's not only moisturizing and they have a great color options but most importantly it has SPF in it. Win, win, WIN!

Are you going on any tropical vacations soon?! If so, comment below and let me know where you’re going!! I’m always looking for new places to travel.

Remember, you don't need to be a model to look and feel amazing nor do you have to spend big bucks to do so. All you need is a little confidence and a killer shade of lipstick!
